  33.    In this lesson you indicate how long each task
  34.    will take so HPM can begin calculating dates
  35.    and determine the project's length.

  38.    the plans for the booth.  She needs to approve
  39.    them before construction gets under way, so you
  40.    need to add a task for approval.

  50. to get a project you've saved.  Normally, you use
  51. the Up and Down Arrow keys to move the cursor to
  52. the project you want.  Then you press Enter and
  53. HPM gets the project and displays the window
  54. where it was last saved.

  94. this window you can add more tasks, change the
  95. order of tasks, or include more information about
  96. the tasks listed.

  101. window.  (Look for the arrow and the word ~More~2 in

  107. The Task list shows the name of each task in the
  108. first column. The second column shows the type of
  109. task.  An ~M~2 in this column means the task is a
  110. special kind of task known as a ~milestone~2.

  114. A milestone is like a checkpoint that marks the
  115. start or end of a series of tasks, or an important
  116. point in the project such as the approval of plans.
  117. It has no duration, so the ~Planned duration~2 column
  118. for all milestones is blank.

  122. For tasks, the ~Planned duration~2 column shows
  123. the default of zero.  The ~Earliest start~2 column
  124. shows the same date as the planned start for the
  125. project until you add task durations.

  130. Build when you created them. Now you can enter

  157. earliest start dates for as many tasks as it can.

  162. But HPM can suspend automatic calculations.

  260. columns come into view.  But HPM always displays
  261. the first two columns, ~Name~2 and ~Type~2.

  297. you can now ask HPM to calculate dates.  Use
